I’m retired and at the urging of friends, have decided to share my stories about growing up in what was rural Pennsylvania (later suburban Pennsylvania) in the 1960’s with an abusive father. As I left my small elementary school and entered a large Junior high (recently re-purposed from a 1910 high school), I discovered life outside my little neighborhood and romance with a special girl.
